It features an elegant matte green wrap-around label bordered by stars, classic typography, and the distillery’s signature tree logo. The teal tamper-evident neck strip and prominent “113 PROOF” callout give it a premium, craft aesthetic that stands out easily on retail shelves.
Production and Aging
This expression features a high-rye mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, aged for five to six years in South Georgia. The distillery finishes the spirit by adding one or two toasted maple wood spirals directly into the barrels during the aging process. It is bottled at a deliberate 113 proof (56.5% ABV), which the distillery’s president describes as the “sweet spot” to maintain the rye’s natural structure while allowing the maple wood to add dimension.[13thcolonydistillery 
Tasting Profile
The maple wood finish actively softens the heat of the high-proof rye, layering in warmth and sweetness. The nose offers inviting aromas of baked raisins, vanilla sugar, toasted pecan, and honey. On the palate, it delivers complex notes of cooked plums, toasted rye bread, and craft root beer, followed by a finish of bittersweet dark chocolate and savory clove spice.
